View larger. | Gameplay UFC Undisputed 2010 is a fighting game that places players in the iconic mixed martial arts fighting cage, known as the octagon, with the most devastating MMA fighters to be found in the UFC. As with the original UFC 2009 Undisputed game, action plays out in one-on-one fights in which the player, utilizes a mix of fighting styles which are balanced between striking techniquesa standing gameand grappling techniquesa ground game. Because the strength, experience and fighting style of opponents will vary, it is important to develop both a standing and ground game in order to defeat opponents by knockout, submission or by a decision depending on an opponent's weakness and/or the opportunities encountered during a match. The game features representations of more than 100 top name UFC fighters, each of which utilizes fighting styles representative of the actual fighter. Along with this realism, the game contains customization options that allow the player to create a fighter of their own with various styles, and/or attire and tattoos. Additional features new to UFC Undisputed 2010 include: the addition of Sambo, Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling fighting styles; the ability to switch to a southpaw stance at any time; new strikes, submissions, transitions; the ability to change submissions mid-attack; an enhanced Career Mode; and improved online play allowing for 16-player tournaments, online fight camps, co-op sparring and more. Ultimate Fights Mode Ultimate Fights Mode is the evolution of UFC 2009's Classic Fights Mode allowing players to relive some of the more memorable fights in UFC history. Players can play the mode as a single player experience in an attempt to unlock content associated with each fight or play as a two-player experience, squaring off against friends with special presentation and commentary elements. The main difference between Classic Fights from UFC 2009 and the Ultimate Fights for UFC Undisputed 2010 is the introduction of Fight Categories and Multiple Challenges for each fight. Assigning each fight to a category helps structure the mode and allows players to easily identify each type of fight, while the introduction of Multiple Challenges for each fight adds replayability to the mode. You may also "play as the spoiler" and provide additional challenges and unlocks associated with the losing fighter, where players look to "rewrite history." Key Game Features - UFC Fighters and Personalities - Navigate an unparalleled roster of more than 100 prolific UFC fighters, each fully rendered to convey a photorealistic appearance. Prominent UFC personalities, including the commentary team of Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg, veteran voice of the Octagon Bruce Buffer, Octagon Girls, referees, trainers and more return to showcase an authentic and memorable UFC video game experience.

Good But Why Can't I Submit The Computer August 26, 2010 Isamblay Washington This is a good game just like 09 but godda**t how do you submit the computer. In Career Mode when fighting for the title I can have my opponent tired out go and put a submission on him but he breaks free then he puts one on me and I can turn the stick till Im blue in the face but nothing Im tapping. It's not just career mode either when playing with friends I can submit them but when Im playing the computer and Im Frank Mir or NOG and Im fighting Carwin or somebody they can't be submitted besides that the game is real good and on PS3 they even give you a couple of fights to watch.
Choking out the competition August 25, 2010 triangle choke I thought this game was very well thought out, and very well executed. As soon as I played the game demo off Xbox Live I was hooked. I bought a copy of it and it far outdoes the demo. I've played many of the Fight Night Games, and found them okay, but all together boring when all you do is just repeatedly knock guys out. In this game there are submissions, TKO's, and knockouts, not to mention the extensive ground game, clinch game, cage game, and striking game.
The striking system is excellent, and is ultimately more fun than any regular boxing game, with superman punches, ducking left hooks, and a host of other moves you can train your fighter to learn. The striking system while it still needs some work, you can duck, dodge, and come back with brutal counter attacks.
The submission system, is by far my favourite part of the game, I've knocked pleanty of people out, but there is something about twisting somebody's limbs, until finally screaming in pain they tap. There are so many submissions it's almost impossible for your specific fighter learn them all. The submission system is highly advanced, and is directly tied to your stamina bar. Instead of button mashing for this year's title, the new way to make them tap the mat, is the shining system, in which you rotate the right stick, as clean as fast as possible, to lock in your deadly submission. but don't be fooled submissions can be difficult, but once learned are the most enjoyable thing to do. Learning how your opponents energy and stamina bar relate to the submission, once that is learned, you can in the third round after losing the fight suddenly you put your opponent in rubber guard, and slap on a gogoplata, your opponent taps, and you watch in satisfaction, as you get up bleeding, but the Ultimate winner.
The graphics and smoothness of the game also make this amazing. When you do a flying armbar, it really has the amazing graphics as you jump up, flip your legs around your opponents head, extend your hips, and watch as they collapse and tap in agonizing pain, the graphics are amazing, and when superman punch somebody and watch there mouth guard, and half the blood in their mouth go flying you will know why.
The presentation is great in career mode, and they did a really good job of making you feel like an ultimate figher. There is so much more to this game, but you will have to buy it and find out the rest.
My thoughts. August 21, 2010 Spydy Loc (Ga) Incredible Graphics...Good amount of characters, even Shaq is on here! The submissions arent as easy for most people as they were in 09. At times it can seem like a slug fest instead of a all around fight but its as good as it gets for a fighting game.
MMA? Its a grappling game. August 12, 2010 Matthew S. Gustafson Sure there are improvements from last years game...the career some signature moves yeah cool great. My career mode I got stuck as fighting the number one contender over and over for about 10 fights because I tried to jump to middleweight I fought once there then I wanted to defend my title but the game got it all messed up. Also Rachelle Leah asks you every two seconds to do these interviews that are a waste of time you get 999999 cred pretty much automatically if you aren't bad anyway. The online all people do it is clinch then throw you and there is pretty much nothing you can do about this unless you time it right even if you do with the lag its usually off then it has to do with each fighters stats if you stop the takedown or not. Game is just crap it feels rushed so many glitchs I mean if you are casual and you don't care about getting taken down and beaten up online then sure buy it but overall its weak it could be alot better. There is also instant takedowns where you can do anything about the. This game fails and i am a huge Pride, UFC and MMA fan in general I follow the sport religiously this game just doesn't do it for me. If you are looking for an authentic MMA game this isn't it.
WAS good but now... August 10, 2010 C Bit in the jungle this game was hard to figure out at first, but once i got the hang of it it was awesome. then i downloaded the latest update for it, and WOW talk about turning a good game into total BALLS. we are getting closer to ufc 118, yet i still have ufc 116 info scrolling the bottom of my screen. and sparring? before it was reasonable, do an awesome job against your sparring partner (i.e. constantly taking down the sparring partner, getting up, and getting ontop of him over and over, like ky wrestling) and wham 212 sparring points are yours to be distributed. now its a max of only 50 points, and that gets to be like nothing once your against top fighters. never try the online camp tutorials, confusing to no end and online play, again, is balls. it was good but no more.SELLSELLSELLSELL
