Great Upgrade July 25, 2010 Jose Molina (Pa, USA) I am a huge Street fighter fan and a super fan of Street Fighter III. When I played SFIV I hated it with so much passion. Then I finally gave this version a try and its like a whole new game. Thank you for listening Capcom.
The Best SF in years and 1 of the top fighters out July 22, 2010 Frustrated gamer I absolutly loved SF4 and love SSF4 Way more. The Graphics are awesome and stylized. There are plenty of old and new fighters to master and each has 2 Ultra Combos instead of just 1 like in SF4. The presentation is better in this one. This is pretty much SF4 with way more stuff. If you have SF4 I would suggest this one as well. For the price i paid I really like it. The one little complaint I have is I wish the controls were as reponsive as MVC2 or Alpha series. But don't hesitate to buy. 5 stars
Old school July 13, 2010 C. W. Shu The game has changed since the last time I played it. There are alot more characters, but the moves are still the same with crushing blows, until the final battle is won. It bought back alot of good time and it still has. I think is is a great game for those that like action and skills.
Wow! Did You See That Hadouken? July 10, 2010 koolhadouken 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Surprisingly, the answer to the title of this review is no. I am a current Street Fighter blind player so my review for this game is coming from a blind gamer. The key in having success in any fighting game with having no vision as a disadvantage is crisp audio. The audio in SSF4 is amazing. Everything from the sound effects from special attacks, to the minor details such as: sound effects of players jumping, blocking, and dashing. To add more fuel to the fire, there is a sound for every menu you go through which make navigating through multiple menus much easier. Capcom has also shined at making toggling through game modes such as network battles very easy to opperate, i am able to send friend invites and challenge online fighters without any visual assistance. Unlike Blazblue character selection screen which is extremely hard to use if you are blind, SSF4 selection screen is set up by three rows making it very easy to learn where every character is placed by simple memorization. Also, unlike blazblue and other fighters, in SSF4 in a fighter is near death special hyper music begins to play to inform the player of a K.O. and this change in music also helps blind gamers to also make note that there fighter has an ultra. To sum up the game for other readers that can care less about how this game is blind friendly, the new characters are very addictive to play with, the short movie clips each fighter has tells more of a complete story, new ultra combos for all characters are flashy, CPU AI has stepped up a few notches, fighters remixed stage themes can now be heard in vS battles, classic bonus stages make up for old memories, new online features such as team play replay and elemination tornament mode will keep you busy, all characters are playable from jump, a new point level up system for each fighters makes you want to level up your fighter all night, and to top it off its the most played 2D fighter out there today why not pick it up.
awesome July 8, 2010 Radiospank (california, san pedro) wish the graphics were not cell shaded but , overall the game is great looking and fun .
animation is pretty good except some of the cinematic stuff. Still a great game to own.
