 Dust off those SNES roms September 5, 2010

Before I purchased this, I made sure to check out the available reviews. From what I read, and the low price, I figured I could take the chance on this controller. As soon as the controller arrived I plugged it in with hopes of reliving those great moments from way back when. Shortly after, I fired up the ZSNES emulator, unfortunately, I couldn't get the controller to respond, and since I had other things to do, I stopped messing with it. When I had some free time, I checked out a few forums to see if maybe I was doing something wrong. The information that I found basically said that the controller needed to be configured, unfortunately, that was about all the info given. Not very detailed, to say the least.
After playing with the configuration settings for a while, I eventually figured it out. Finally, after all that, I was able to start playing Super Mario World, Super R-Type, NBA Jam, Earthworm Jim, etc... It was great! The feel of the controller is great, it feels just like the actual SNES controller, which is pretty important. Other reviewers mentioned that the controller is lighter than that of the original, and they're right, but trust me, it's not a problem. At no time while playing any of the above mentioned games, did it feel like I wasn't playing on an original SNES... And that was the point of my purchase.
Anyone looking to buy this controller need not look any further. For the price and the feel, it's a bargain, and it's about as close as you can get to playing the real thing. Buy this controller, you won't regret it.

This controller is great and feels just like I remember the old SNES controllers. Using it with ROMs is a cinch. I highly recommend this product for its plug and play functionality and classic feel.

at first i was exited that i could play emulated games with the snes usb gamepad but when i got it the controller looked great but it does not work as good as it looks , it deffinetley was not worth what i payed for it the buttons have to be pressed hard , one good thing though is that the d pad is not so mushy but still it is a pain pressing the buttons hard. overall it is an okay gamepad just needs some work which i will be doing because i am a technician with these kind of things , but overall i only reccomend it to nintendo fans like myself that miss gaming in the stone age
Poor quality, stopped working August 19, 2010

I bought a pair of these because I liked the simplicity of the old SNES controller. The gamepad worked immediately with Vista upon plugging it in. I'm not a huge gamer but after just a week of use, one of the pads "up" direction stopped working. I'd recommend skipping the novel SNES layout and getting something of better quality.
