 An Amazing Product For Its Price And Size September 8, 2010

Like many other PS3 gamers and owners I'm getting set to buy the PS3 move remote and games that are going to be coming out, so I just decided to get the camera first and the game and remote on the release date and while the bundle is $99.00 dollars I felt that for myself it would be better just to buy them separately for convenience. The camera was easy to connect to my console through the USB port and it was recognized instantly by the PS3 with no problems, the cameras video output is amazing with a clear and relatively smooth frame rate and clarity that is astounding for such a small and compact item. The camera also has a rotation of 360 degree and elevation and lowering degree that make it very easy to direct the camera feed also the front of the camera has a nice close up or distance knob that makes it easy to get your full bod into the camera view or just a face shot if that's all you want. My friend had a question as he like me did have limited room for the PS3 console where he had it set up and that was would he need to elevate the camera to get a upper body view of the person in front of the camera since he had to place the camera on the console, and again thanks to the rotation and elevation abilities of the camera that shouldn't be necessary if the console is at least waist high to the person whose playing in front of the camera. So whether you decide to buy the camera separately or get the bundle will be up to the buyer but still as far as the camera hookup is concerned a very easy accessory to add to the PS3 console with no headaches to write about....

This item is great if you plan on getting with the PS Move (if you decide to buy it not on bundles). This is also fully utilized if you chat much with your friends using your PS3 as well as playing games using the PS3 eye such as EyePet etc. If you just simply buy official PS3 accessories just for the fun of it (like me) then this is something you should never miss. Great item, great price.

After the break through in HD quality 720p, the full HD followed it and were now in time where 3D is reality in every house!!!! Wait wait, with Sony eye you will go back to tradition :) where 3D and FHD or HD is not important, your going back to the 4:3 aspect ratio, and the lovely poor colors :)
I thought for the first time I've seen my self on this camera that I'm the hulk since I turned in green color thanks to Sony great Technology.
This camera has a good concept but:
1- image quality is SD don't expect anything, it has the DOOM resolution :)
2- colors are terrible, however you might enjoy it thinking that your turned into the HULK or batman. Believe me when I took it back to the store they asked to check it before refunding me the money and the store manager immediately refunded back the money to me, guys were in the end of 2010 and this is the lowest ever image quality I have seen since 5 years.
Audio Quality: I was astonished by the idea that 4 built in microphones, thinking that I will have a great sound, it appeared that my voice was turned into E.T. Voice some how, my voice is chopped and it was more like robot then human, it's not at all a good microphones, tested on windows and PS3
Good:
1- it has an optical zoom
2- it looks good only.
Guys if you have new flat 1080 TV this is not at all your baby. Recommended to 4:3 t.v only

By itself, the PS3 Eye is a neat toy. It is only useful in a handful of games, of which I have just 2, LittleBigPlanet & SingStar Karaoke. It's next to useful for LBP, but worth the asking price as an accessorie for Singstar. Singstar has a huge social aspect to it, and allows you to record audio/video of your performances to save and/or share with the world. The quality of the camera is a bit grainy, so don't expect to get good quality with the lights off, but with adequate light, you'll be satisfied with the results.
However, before you run out and purchase one, I'd wait the holiday season for the PlayStation Move Bundle to get a better price tag. It requires the PS3 Eye, so it definitely makes this device much more useful. But right now the price of the bundle is a bit on the high end and the games will be taking advantage of the controllers won't be out for a few months yet.
Though if you want a rockin' karaoke party now, just buy the thing already! It's way more fun to playback your performances on video than just hearing the audio again.
