| Customer Reviews: Good product, but bugs make it from being great October 17, 2006 Jus_Desireable (Pembroke, Pembroke Bermuda) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I recently purchased a pair of these after much debate wether or not they would be worth the cost. I purchased them with the SuperNova DDR Game.
First thing I noticed is that the pads' foam is much smaller than most of the wired pads out today - not by much but when you start to move you notice the response isn't as good as wired. But I blame this on that the pads need to be broken in abit.
Its is very compatible with the Komani DDR Games BUT if you have Dance Factory from CodeMasters as your game I STRONGLY recommend you do not buy these pads. Why?
When you go through the screen sections the pads act normal, but when you go to actually dance, you get the flip side of this. None of the arrow keys register. Not one.. Only, the outside corner pads register. Now this would not be so fustrating until you realise that even if you try to change the pads layout on the controller via the game it still registers those buttons by its only configuration. Lucky I stil have my wired pads but its a shame I have to keep them around just for this one problem.
So due to that I had to give these a "3" star. If you are not using the Dance Factory game I would give it a 4, but that would be even a high 3 but a low four.
Hopefully codemasters or ddrgame will take a look at this issue for their next gen of thier products and figure out where they went wrong.
Still with the freedom you have for the pads been wireless and the cost[...] it can be worth the buy. Just be cautious of its limitation.
